April! Freedom​! in the Favour of  BUWA​!​

It is the month of April  - which marks our 4th publication – [without fail]  added a marvellous flavour to this month’s creativity.  I am beyond elated to have had the privilege and honour to have interacted with many of the writers that feature this month and largely many of them you have seen in our interactions in social media – mainly on BUWA Mosadi Page. This is truly reminiscent of what I have come to hold near and dear to my heart – the currency of networking and relationship forming.

In light of the month of April being the month of Freedom BUWA Mosadi got on board on quite an electrifying journey with Mapula as she shares her views on what  Freedom means for her as a QPOC (Queer Person of Colour) 19 years after democracy on the CREATIVE page.  Lesego (Infamously known for her awesome writing for Inkanyiso.org) shared her Opinion on Freedom in 2013, in her shoes in modern South Africa. In April we look at Vinatge Swag as a question of style...I still am curious to find a brave soul willing to share their fashion sense with BUWA Mosadi.

Not forgetting this notion of networking and relationships. I caught up with a friend I met at Cape Town Pride about 4 years ago who forms part of the group THEESATISFACTION. I thought it only fair to share their art in this month’s edition of Black Gifted and Gay – check out some of their live performances on the page.

Lets ease on down and have fun at the ALL GIRLS WINTER CAMP this month where BUWA Mosadi will be screening movies relevant to us and by us. Catch what is happening in and around town on the Art and Entertainment page.
